Regaining Public Trust through Open Government and Dialogue

  • Working with the Mayor and other council members on passing an ordinance to require all financial budget reallocation or line items being discarding from fiscal year to fiscal year approved by council to be posted visibly on the city’s finance department website and within the important announcements section of the city’s website within the first 60 days of an approved budget.

  • Working with the Mayor and other council members on passing an ordinance to require all votes to change or adopt ordinances for the city posted on the city’s mayor and council website, along with the creation of council member’s biography pages with their vote for every ordinance adopted or voted on listed below their biography on the page.

  • Working with the Mayor and other council members on passing an ordinance expanding the public’s speaking time during the public comment section at council meetings to five minutes as well as requiring the council members to respond to the public if directed an inquiry, via in person at the meeting, or in writing within a 30 day time span.
